Multiple, Demanding Apps Deserve a Cool, Quiet Laptop

Artificial intelligence (AI) and network-heavy CPU workloads are placing additional strains on laptops. While traditional CPU architectures struggle to bridge the performance gap, Arm’s efficient, performant, and secure CPUs are making tomorrow’s use cases like Copilot possible in Windows on Arm devices and Chromebook-based AI PCs.

Armv9 architecture comprising of PAC and MTE offers class-leading protection across all devices as our reliance on generative AI ML and LLMs increase the amount of sensitive information processed on a laptop. Our Total Compute Solutions enable AI-accelerated experiences like video enhancement, multitasking and responsive app launch.

Timeline: A Growing Ecosystem

2018 was the year when brand-new Windows laptops built on Arm-based SoC designs were launched in the PC market. Since then, the ‘Windows on Arm’ (WoA) devices and ecosystem have gone from strength to strength, with Microsoft having recently released Windows 11 for Arm and developing technologies to smooth the migration path for application developers. This has, in turn, led to many more developers building native apps, for a growing selection of laptops.
